My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Journey

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, initially pursued writing and filmmaking. A college collaboration idea fizzled, but the story remained. Alameen, teaching himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, embarked on a solo journey, even collaborating with his wife on the game's title.

Unraveling the Mystery

The game plunges players into a mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian mythology, filled with secrets, puzzles, and surprises. Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: What happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, is far from straightforward.

Blending ancient Mesopotamian culture with modern storytelling, My Father Lied offers simple point-and-click gameplay, stunning 2D visuals, and immersive 360-degree images.

Android Release Date

My Father Lied launches on PC May 30th, 2025. Android and iOS versions are anticipated in Q3 2025. For more information, visit the official Kickstarter or Steam pages.
