SoMoGa Inc. has revitalized the classic 16-bit RPG, Vay, releasing a revamped version on Android, iOS, and Steam. This updated edition boasts slick new visuals, a modernized user interface, and welcome controller support, breathing new life into the original 1993 Sega CD title. Originally developed by Hertz and localized for the US by Working Designs, Vay first captivated Japanese audiences before receiving an iOS re-release by SoMoGa in 2008.

What's New in the Revamped Vay?

The revamped Vay offers a significantly enhanced experience. Explore over 90 diverse areas, battling more than 100 unique enemies and a dozen epic bosses. A standout feature is the user-selectable difficulty, allowing players to tailor the challenge to their preference. Convenience is improved with an auto-save feature, and Bluetooth controller support provides flexible gameplay options. Players can acquire new gear and items, while characters level up, learning new spells and utilizing an AI system for autonomous combat.

What's the Story?

Set in a distant galaxy scarred by a millennium-long interstellar war, Vay unfolds on a technologically underdeveloped planet of the same name. A colossal, malfunctioning war machine crashes onto Vay, unleashing devastation and destruction. The player embarks on a quest to rescue their kidnapped wife, a journey that intertwines personal tragedy with the fate of the world itself. Attacked on their wedding day, the player sets out on an epic adventure to confront the war machines and restore peace.

Vay's compelling narrative blends nostalgia with fresh elements. Faithful to its JRPG roots, characters gain experience and gold through random encounters. Immerse yourself in nearly ten minutes of animated cutscenes, available in both English and Japanese audio.
