After a small leak last week, Electronic Arts (EA) has officially unveiled the title of their latest venture into the Star Wars universe. The game, named Star Wars: Zero Company, is being crafted by the newly-established studio, Bit Reactor, with additional support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

While details are still scarce, we know that Star Wars: Zero Company will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more insights, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game during the Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.

Bit Reactor, formed in 2022, is comprised of seasoned developers from acclaimed titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although it was known that they were collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this is the first time we're getting concrete information about Zero Company.

Respawn's role in the project remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced its share of challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars first-person shooter last year, coupled with significant layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.

For those eager to learn more, EA will reveal additional details about Star Wars: Zero Company at a live panel scheduled for Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan.
