Stellar Blade's recent update, Patch 1.009, brought the highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, but unfortunately, also introduced some critical bugs.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix

The update caused several game-breaking issues. Players reported being softlocked in a main quest within an earlier dungeon, unable to progress. Others experienced crashes while using the Photo Mode's selfie function, and some new cosmetic items failed to render correctly on Eve.

Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix patch to address these problems. They advise players to avoid forcing quest progression and wait for the patch to prevent permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

The collaboration with NieR: Automata, a game that significantly influenced Stellar Blade's development, delivers 11 exclusive items. Players can find Emil, the NieR character, in-game to acquire these rewards.

The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges have been added to encourage its use.

This update also includes four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) altering Tachy Mode's appearance, and a "No Ponytail" option for increased customization. Further improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functionality for the instant death skill, and various minor bug fixes.
