Streets of Rage 4 Devs Unveil New Game
Publisher Dotemu, in collaboration with Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, has officially revealed Absolum, an exciting new fantasy beat 'em up enriched with roguelite mechanics.
Set in the shattered world of Talamh, Absolum unfolds in a land ravaged by a magical cataclysm. In the aftermath, magic is feared and despised—fueling the tyrannical reign of King-Sun Azra, who uses this fear to oppress mages with the aid of his elite enforcers, the Crimson Order. Amidst this oppression, a band of courageous heroes emerges: the cunning necromancer Galandra, the fiery gnome rebel Karl, the powerful mage Brom, and the enigmatic warrior Sidr.
Players will dive into fast-paced, adrenaline-fueled combat featuring customizable abilities, devastating combos, and potent magical spells. With support for both single-player and co-op play, Absolum allows fighters to team up and unleash synchronized attacks that create overwhelming, dynamic combinations.
Adding to the immersive experience is a stellar musical score composed by industry legends: Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite), Yuka Kitamura (Dark Souls, Elden Ring), and Mick Gordon (DOOM Eternal, Atomic Heart).
Absolum is scheduled for release in 2025 on PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
