Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the discontinuation of their RPG Clash Heroes, they're reviving the concept—but with an innovative twist. Enter Project R.I.S.E., Supercell's current focus.

Clash Heroes has officially met its end, confirming earlier speculation. Similar to Clash Mini's fate, Supercell has shelved the game—but not abandoned its essence. Instead, they're reimagining it as Project R.I.S.E., transforming it into a social-driven action RPG roguelite set within the Clash universe.

Supercell released an announcement trailer featuring game lead Julien Le Cadre's candid remarks: "Clash Heroes is finished—that's the disappointing part," he acknowledged. "The upside? Project R.I.S.E. preserves the Clash DNA while evolving into a multiplayer-centric action RPG experience."

While inspired by Clash Heroes, Project R.I.S.E. represents a complete overhaul. This cooperative action RPG roguelite introduces entirely new mechanics.

Players will form three-person teams to conquer The Tower—a procedurally generated challenge where each session advances through ascending floors. Departing from solo PvE dungeons, the reboot emphasizes coordinated multiplayer gameplay with diverse character options.

Currently in pre-alpha development, Supercell anticipates launching Project R.I.S.E.'s inaugural playtest by early July 2024. Early access registration is now open through their official portal.
