DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. This three-minute preview provides fans with a deeper glimpse into the film's extensive ensemble of superheroes and supervillains. The trailer showcases Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, effortlessly dispatching foes, alongside Isabela Merced's portrayal of Hawkgirl. Additionally, we get our best look yet at María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, who is revealed to be the one destroying robots, including Kelex, in Superman's Fortress of Solitude—a scene previously hinted at in earlier trailers where Superman is seen cradling a damaged Kelex.

The trailer also introduces action-packed moments featuring Krypto the Superdog, who fearlessly engages The Engineer with a flying punch, demonstrating his readiness to tackle villains head-on. Lex Luthor, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, and Ultraman also make appearances, adding to the film's dynamic cast. We see more of Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason / Metamorpho, further enriching the movie's superhero lineup. The Hammer of Boravia, a new character created by Gunn and hinted at in a previous teaser, is also featured prominently in the full trailer, believed to be Ultraman in disguise.

Central to the narrative is the relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, highlighted in scenes where Lois, played by Rachel Brosnahan, interviews Superman. Their conversation escalates into a debate over the ethics of Superman's controversial intervention in a foreign war, with Superman asserting, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" This action triggers a retaliatory attack by The Hammer of Boravia on Downtown Metropolis. In another poignant scene, a civilian assists Superman out of a hole in the ground during the battle with The Hammer of Boravia, showcasing a stark contrast to other public reactions where people scream and throw objects at him, reflecting the complex dynamics of his public image.
