DC Comics announces Superman Unlimited, a new monthly series debuting May 2025, featuring Marvel veteran Dan Slott. Slott, renowned for his work on titles like The Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Four, returns to DC after a two-decade Marvel exclusivity.

Superman Unlimited pairs Slott with artist Rafael Albuquerque and colorist Marcelo Maiolo.

Slott describes the series as a journey to unexpected realms, promising fresh perspectives on Superman, Lois Lane, familiar villains, and new adversaries. He invites both longtime fans and newcomers to experience this new chapter.

The series introduces a perilous new reality. A Kryptonite asteroid shower leaves Earth awash in Green K, empowering Intergang and other foes with Kryptonite-enhanced weaponry. Superman must develop innovative technology and combat strategies to counter this threat. Simultaneously, Clark Kent faces a transformed Daily Planet, now a global media giant after merging with Morgan Edge's Galaxy Communications.

DC group editor Paul Kaminski compares the series' impact to that of Superman/Batman in the early 2000s, highlighting its grand-scale adventures and pivotal role within the broader DC Superman universe. He emphasizes the unprecedented danger posed by the widespread Green K, forcing Superman to adapt and innovate.

“Every line of Dan’s pitch is packed with surprises and every line Rafa draws is stunning… 2025 is truly going to be Superman UNLIMITED,” Kaminski states.

A 10-page prelude story launches in DC All In 2025 FCBD Special Edition #1 on May 3, 2025, followed by Superman Unlimited #1 on May 21, preceding James Gunn's Superman film release on July 11.
