Surprise! Sybo Games has quietly released a new Subway Surfers title for iOS and Android! Subway Surfers City, a sequel to the original, boasts improved graphics and many features added to the original over the years. It's currently in soft launch, available in select regions.

This Friday brings a new game from the creators of Subway Surfers. While we haven't played it yet, app store listings reveal a sequel featuring familiar characters, updated hoverboards, and significantly enhanced visuals. The original Subway Surfers, released in 2012, has aged, making this sequel a logical step.

The soft launch is currently underway in several countries. iOS users in the UK, Canada, Denmark, Indonesia, Netherlands, and the Philippines can download it. Android users can find it in Denmark and the Philippines.

A Bold Move?

Releasing a sequel to their flagship title is a gamble for Sybo. The original game's Unity engine is showing its age, limiting development possibilities. The stealth launch is an unexpected approach for such a globally popular mobile franchise.
