Nightdive Studios has thrilled fans by announcing the launch date for the much-anticipated System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, set to hit the shelves on June 26, 2025. This remastered edition of the iconic 1999 sci-fi horror action role-playing game will not only be available on PC but will also make its debut on various consoles, expanding its reach to a broader audience.

Gamers can look forward to playing on Windows PC through popular platforms such as Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, and the Humble Bundle Store. Console players aren't left out, with the game set to release on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and S, as well as the Nintendo Switch.

Set 42 years after the events of the first System Shock, the notorious antagonist SHODAN and her army of merciless mutants have taken over the starship Von Braun. Players assume the role of a soldier who awakens from cryo-sleep with cybernetic implants. As he navigates the eerie corridors of the derelict ship, he must develop his upgradable skills and wield powerful weapons and paranormal psionic abilities to combat SHODAN's monstrous creations and confront her megalomaniacal ambitions.
