While the September 2024 trailer clearly showed Taskmaster standing between Ghost and U.S. Agent, this new preview carefully omits the character from that same moment.

Compounding the mystery, Taskmaster actress Olga Kurylenko was notably absent from this week's Avengers: Doomsday cast announcement – unlike her fellow Thunderbolts stars. Many now suspect the character may meet their end in the film.
