Torchlight: Infinite's next chapter, Season 8: Sandlord, is set to launch on April 17th, promising a thrilling overhaul and fresh content for fans of this action RPG. This season introduces the floating city of Cloud Oasis, where players will engage in new economic gameplay mechanics, trading resources, managing production lines, and building their own aerial empire.

Returning with a unique twist is Thea, now equipped with the Blasphemer trait. This new ability swaps her divine powers for the curse of Desecration, which starts off weak but scales significantly, enhancing Erosion damage based on her remaining blessing power. Players can further customize builds to maximize area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, making it ideal for fans of damage-over-time strategies and intricate synergies.

The endgame content in Torchlight: Infinite is getting a major update as well. Deep Space has been completely revamped, featuring five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. Players can now adjust the risk and reward dynamics using the new Probes system, which increases difficulty but also the potential for better loot, including Compass chests through the Compass Probe.

Season 8 also brings a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling the fusion of Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, offering deeper build customization. A new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the fray, challenging players on the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown and in Plane Watcher.

To celebrate the launch, Torchlight: Infinite is hosting the Sands of Fortune anniversary event from April 17th to May 1st. Players can participate in tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and have a chance to win from a $250,000 prize pool.
