Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and modes, including a fresh challenge set rewarding players with free items, such as a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when destroying a Dracula-influenced object, causing it to reappear in its original state. Not all objects qualify; identifying them requires Chrono Vision.

Using Chrono Vision

Chrono Vision highlights destructible objects in red. Activate it using the "B" key (keyboard) or the right D-pad button (console). Only red-highlighted objects trigger Recursive Destruction.

Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown

This challenge is exclusive to the Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects are available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.

During the match, locate and destroy these buildings. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but multiple hits should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges featuring Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
