Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers three distinct campaigns, each boasting a hidden true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.

To begin, complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks replayability of past stages. Look for a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban" – this signifies an alternate ending. Normally, you'd help Liu Bei escape while Zhang Fei defends Changban Bridge. However, for the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of facilitating Liu Bei's retreat.

To improve your odds:

1. Reduce Difficulty: Set the game to "Historian" mode. The sheer number of enemies makes this a near-impossible feat at higher difficulties unless you're exceptionally high-leveled.

2. Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This starts you closer to Cao Cao's forces, saving valuable time.

3. Musou Meter Mastery: Prepare your Musou Rage meter. Cao Cao will deploy two Grand Tactics: eliminating two officers and defeating 250 soldiers. Twin pikes are recommended for the latter.

Once Cao Cao's army is routed, defeating him shouldn't be overly difficult. A few additional missions remain before the Shu true ending is revealed.
