The Chinese Room has recently shared exciting updates about Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2, shedding light on the vampire hunters known as the Information Awareness Bureau (IAB). Operating on a shadow budget without official government backing, the IAB hunts vampires, referred to as "Hollow Ones," under the guise of "training exercises" and "counter-terrorism efforts."

Leading the charge in Seattle is Agent Baker, a disciplined and pragmatic leader known as "The Hen" among her followers. Her mission is to eradicate vampires permanently, and she achieves this by meticulously investigating strange occurrences and analyzing historical data to uncover the secrets of the vampire society.

The IAB's hunters are a formidable force, operating in well-coordinated teams and securing their bases with both external and internal defenses. Confronting them alone is daunting, as they use spotlights, portable radios for communication, and advanced weaponry in combat. Their arsenal includes thermic batons that ignore defensive tactics and phosphorous grenades to flush enemies out of hiding. Additionally, their sniper crossbows launch explosive bolts that can cause severe damage if not promptly removed.

Despite their prowess, the hunters have vulnerabilities. They are physically weaker than ghouls and vampires, making them susceptible to certain countermeasures. For instance, players with the Fire skill can intercept grenades or bolts and hurl them back at the hunters. Moreover, members of the Ventru clan can use their powers to possess an enemy, turning them against their own team.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is set to launch in the first half of 2025, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This eagerly anticipated game promises thrilling encounters with the IAB and a deep dive into the shadowy world of vampire hunting.
