Don't Nod, the studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the initial chapter of their new narrative adventure. Players can currently access "Tape 1," with "Tape 2" launching free for all purchasers on April 15th.

Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.

Inspired by classics like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game expertly weaves together nostalgic elements with a chilling psychological thriller. The game's structure is divided into two parts: "Bloom" and "Rage." Currently, only "Bloom," the first half of this captivating mystery, is available (as of February 18th).

The second part, "The Tape," will be released April 15th. Initially planned for a March release, the launch was delayed to allow for further refinement.

The review embargo has been lifted, and OpenCritic shows an average score of 74/100, indicating a promising start for this gripping narrative.
