Warframe: 1999 Sets Techrot Encore Release Date, Adds Content and Characters

Warframe's 1999 expansion has been a thrilling journey through time, and the excitement continues with the upcoming Techrot Encore update, set to release on March 19th. This update promises to bring back the nostalgia of the turn of the millennium with its unique setting and series-standard action, featuring the return of the ARG band as boss battles that are sure to captivate fans.

Techrot Encore introduces four new Protoframes to the fray: Flare, Minerva, Kaya, and Velimir II, each bringing their unique abilities to the battlefield. But that's not all; the 60th Warframe, Temple, joins the lineup, armed with Techrot Subwoofer minions and a sapient guitar named Lizzie, ready to make a resounding impact.

For Warframe veterans seeking a challenge, two new endgame stages await. In Stage Defense, players will defend Scaldra during a memorial show honoring fallen comrades amidst the city takeover. Meanwhile, Temporal Archimedea challenges players to team up with Minerva and Velimir II, tackling three consecutive random missions with the Peely Pix system adding variety to each run.

Frame jobIn a heartfelt move, Digital Extremes honors a Make-A-Wish commitment from James Conlin with the addition of the Atomicycle racing mini-game at the Höllvania Mall Hub's arcade collection, Ollie's Crash Course, adding a touching and fun element to the update.
