Dawn of War returns! Relic Entertainment has revealed Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War Definitive Edition, a refreshed version of the cherished real-time strategy classic originally launched more than two decades ago. As a devoted fan of the 2004 original, I needed to learn more than what was shown in the debut trailer below. So, like a seasoned Inquisitor, I sought out design director Philippe Boulle to question him about this highly anticipated return to the grimdark universe.

Boulle began his tenure at Relic in November 2005, with his first assignment being Dawn of War's second expansion, Dark Crusade. He subsequently contributed to Dawn of War: Soulstorm, Dawn of War II, Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising, Space Marine, Company of Heroes 2, Dawn of War III, and Age of Empires IV. In summary, his long career at Relic is deeply intertwined with Warhammer 40,000 video games.
