Weekly Challenges: The Battle of Polytopia's New Game Mode Unveiled
The Battle of Polytopia has injected a fresh dose of excitement into its 4X strategy gameplay with the introduction of Weekly Challenges. This new feature promises to test your strategic prowess in a more structured environment, offering a thrilling twist to the game's usual randomness. Dive in to learn all about it.
It Was Random Before
If you're familiar with The Battle of Polytopia, you know how the game's inherent randomness with diverse enemies, resources, and maps keeps every session unpredictable. However, with the latest free update, the game is steering towards a more organized competitive format.
Each week, players face the same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? To achieve the highest score possible within just 20 turns. You're allowed only one attempt per day, capping at seven tries weekly. This setup not only levels the playing field but also introduces you to tribes you might not yet own. With a total of 16 tribes—four included in the base game and twelve available for purchase at $1-4 each—the Weekly Challenges allow everyone to compete with the same tribe, irrespective of ownership.
Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely, the anticipation is high. Alongside the Weekly Challenges, a new League system has been introduced. Starting in the Entry League, your performance each week determines whether you move up, down, or stay in your current league. The top third of players advance, the bottom third drop down, and those in the middle remain unchanged.
As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty ramps up. While you'll face Easy AI in the Entry League, by the time you reach the Gold League, you'll be pitted against Crazy difficulty bots. And don't worry if you miss a week; you won't be demoted, though your ranking will adjust based on other players' performances.
Ready to test your skills with these new Weekly Challenges? Head over to the Google Play Store to explore this exciting feature in The Battle of Polytopia.
