The Last Knight is an engaging side quest that adds depth to the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. While it may not have the epic scale of the main storyline or the larger exploration quests, it offers a unique look into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with a rewarding set of bonuses.

Compared to more complex quests like "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms" in WuWa, The Last Knight is straightforward and less time-consuming. Here's a detailed guide to help you navigate through this quest seamlessly.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To embark on The Last Knight quest, you must first complete Chapter 2 in its entirety, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We highly recommend completing the main storyline before diving into Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are unlocked after finishing Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've completed the required quests, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house near the main road exiting the town. He will be highlighted by a blue quest marker on your map.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries is a ceremonial performance honoring a legendary knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, you'll participate in the performance by confronting the Mad Knight.

The Mad Knight only appears at night. Fast forward the time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the next day, and head to the central pool in town. This enemy isn't particularly challenging, so unleash your full arsenal to take him down swiftly.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and follow the quest marker to Carlow. You'll find him unconscious beside a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to a special instance where you must identify the real chest among mimics.

The first three chests you encounter are genuine. However, in the subsequent set, only one chest is real—the second one in the middle-left position. Opening the correct chest rewards you with Astrites and other items. Be prepared to fend off the mimics that attack after you make your choice.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

After recovering from the effects of the purple flower, your next task is to visit the second and third locations allegedly visited by the legendary Mad Knight. This segment involves following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent nearby. Follow the quest marker uphill to confront a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. For this battle, consider equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry the Chop Chop's attacks and stun it instantly.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper reveals that the legendary knight was a myth; it was he and other Windmill Keepers who protected the town as faux knights. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and locate Carlow in one of the town's plazas. You'll find him being taunted by two knights. Instead of backing down, Carlow vows to protect and challenges one of the knights to a duel, shedding his idealized view of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of being a guardian.

The quest concludes with Carlow's duel request, and you'll be rewarded with Union XP, Astrites, and other resources. Completing The Last Knight will also mark it off your list for the Tales of the Isles event.
