Microsoft has confirmed three games for the showcase. South of Midnight, a stylish action-adventure game from Compulsion Games (creators of Contrast and We Happy Few), was initially announced in June 2023. A release date may finally be revealed.
Another confirmed title is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive. While targeting a 2025 release, a specific date remains unannounced. It will be a day-one Xbox Game Pass title.
Finally, id Software's Doom: The Dark Ages, announced in June 2024, will also be featured. A playable demo was available at QuakeCon 2024, and the game is rumored for a mid-2025 release.
These three titles are not the only anticipated reveals. Previous Developer Directs (lasting over 40 minutes) showcased multiple games. The 2024 event featured Avowed, Ara: History Untold, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Visions of Mana. The 2025 event likely holds further surprises.
