Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are in for a treat in January 2025, with a strong lineup of day-one game releases. Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders kicks things off on January 21st, offering a thrilling skiing experience with co-op and PvP modes. This follows a relatively quiet first half of the month, where the primary updates involved tier shifts for existing titles.

While the initial January 2025 Game Pass additions were considered sparse by some subscribers, the second half of the month promises a much more robust selection. Following Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st) will all launch directly onto the service.

Of particular note is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure title developed by Yellow Brick Games and helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw. The game's aesthetic strongly evokes the Legend of Zelda series.
