Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving Today, January 15th
Half of the January 2025 departure wave consists of multiplayer titles. Exoprimal and Insurgency: Sandstorm are multiplayer-only shooters; Escape Academy features a well-received co-op mode. Escape Academy boasts the longest tenure on Xbox Game Pass, having been added in July 2022 as a day-one release.

Game removal times vary, but most titles leave around the end of the day. US subscribers have approximately 18 hours remaining to play these games. This allows ample time to complete shorter titles like Figment: Journey Into the Mind, Those Who Remain, and Escape Academy. However, only console players need to rush to finish Escape Academy, as the PC version will be free on the Epic Games Store starting January 16th.
The next wave of Xbox Game Pass removals is scheduled for January 31st. These titles, along with the January 2025 Wave 2 additions, will be announced later. Confirmed day-one additions for January 31st include Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. Further announcements are expected around January 23rd, during the 2025 Xbox Developer Direct.
