Developers at Alkimia Interactive have started sending out the Gothic 1 Remake demo to journalists and content creators, sparking in-depth comparisons with the classic game. A notable change in the demo is the protagonist, who is not the Nameless One but another prisoner from the Miners' Valley. In related news, THQ Nordic has announced that a free demo of the Gothic 1 Remake will be available on February 24. This demo will feature Niras' prologue, crafted with the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5.

It's worth noting that this demo will stand alone and not be included in the main game. It's designed to give players a taste of the world, mechanics, and atmosphere of the remake. In the demo, players will step into the shoes of Niras, a convict exiled to the Colony, and explore the environment at their leisure.
