“当然，我们将通过新内容更新 Palworld，”他说，开发商 PocketPair 计划添加新地图、更多新伙伴以及突袭 Boss 来保持游戏的新鲜感。“但对于 Palworld 的未来，我们正在考虑两种选择，”水户部补充道。

“要么我们像现在这样完成 Palworld，将其作为一次性购买的游戏（B2P）发行；要么将其转变为持续运营游戏（采访中称为 LiveOps），”水户部解释道。B2P 是一种收入模式，玩家只需一次性购买即可访问和游玩完整游戏。而持续运营模式，也就是游戏即服务模式，游戏通常采用持续发布付费内容的盈利模式。

“从商业角度来看，将 Palworld 转变为持续运营游戏将提供更多盈利机会，并有助于延长游戏本身的生命周期。”然而，水户部指出，Palworld 最初并非设计为持续运营模式，“因此，如果我们选择这条路，肯定会充满挑战。”

水户部表示，他们还必须仔细考虑 Palworld 作为持续运营游戏对玩家的吸引力。“最重要的是确定玩家是否想要，”他补充道，“通常，一款游戏必须已经是免费游玩（F2P）游戏才能采用持续运营模式，然后才能添加付费内容，例如皮肤和战斗通行证。但 Palworld 是一款一次性购买的游戏（B2P），因此很难将其转变为持续运营游戏。”

他进一步解释说：“有一些游戏成功转型为 F2P 的例子，”他提到了像 PUBG 和 Fall Guys 这样的热门游戏，“但这两个游戏都花了数年时间才成功完成转型。虽然我理解持续运营模式对业务有利，但这并非易事。”

水户部表示，目前，PocketPair 正在探索吸引更多玩家并同时让现有玩家满意的方法。“我们还被建议实施广告货币化，但基本前提是，除非是手机游戏，否则广告货币化很难适应，”他补充道，并指出他不记得有哪些 PC 游戏从广告货币化中受益。他还谈到了他对 PC 玩家行为的观察，他说：“即使它对 PC 游戏有效，在 Steam 上玩游戏的玩家也会讨厌广告。很多用户在插入广告时会生气。”

“因此，目前，我们正在仔细权衡 Palworld 应该采取的方向，”水户部总结道。目前，Palworld 仍处于抢先体验阶段，最近发布了最大的更新 Sakurajima，并推出了备受期待的 PvP 竞技场模式。
