AMD introduced the Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025, building on the success of the RX 9070 XT launched in March. Details about the new mid-range graphics card remain limited.

The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT boasts 32 Compute Units and 16GB of GDDR6 memory, a robust setup for 1080p gaming. Its compact GPU design consumes significantly less power than the RX 9070 XT, with a Total Board Power (TBP) of 150-182W.

With half the Compute Units and roughly half the power consumption of the RX 9070 XT, this GPU is likely less powerful but potentially more budget-friendly. AMD has not yet disclosed pricing or a release date for the new graphics card.

Affordable GPU Competition Heats Up

While AMD has not revealed the Radeon RX 9060 XT’s price, it is expected to compete closely with the Intel Arc B580 and the recently launched RTX 5060, which have power budgets of 145W and 190W, respectively, and retail around $250-$300. AMD is likely aiming for the same market segment.

When the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT hits the market, gamers seeking a graphics card in the $300 range will have three options from different brands. If priced competitively, the RX 9060 XT could stand out with its 16GB of VRAM, surpassing Nvidia’s 8GB and Intel’s 12GB offerings.

Performance testing is needed to evaluate its capabilities, but if the GPU matches its competitors, its larger frame buffer could ensure longevity as games demand more video memory. The RX 9060 XT’s final cost remains uncertain, but it could be a top contender in the budget GPU market.
