The Dungeon faction, also known as the Warlocks' faction, has always been a beloved element in the Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, seamlessly weaving into the game's rich narrative. Our initial venture into Jadame unveiled creatures deeply connected to the Dungeon faction, each with their own territories on the continent. This allowed the developers to create a faction that honors its traditions while introducing fresh concepts.

If we were to encapsulate the essence of the Dungeon faction throughout the series in just two words, "power" and "outcasts" would suffice. Returning to the world of Enroth gives us the opportunity to redefine these formidable warlocks. Drawing inspiration from Jadame's lore, particularly the Alvaric Pact from Might and Magic VIII, the Dungeon faction has been reimagined.

Creatures once seen as mere monsters now form alliances with the red-skinned dark elves, who have long been marginalized due to their pragmatic approach. Through diplomacy, trade, and strategic alliances, they have grown stronger, marking a notable departure from the faction's earlier iterations.

Throughout the Heroes series, the presence of skilled warlocks and commanding leaders has been a hallmark of playable cities, with each installment offering a unique portrayal:

• In Heroes I and Heroes II, the servants of Lord Alamar and King Archibald pursued power, rallying creatures with similar ambitions under their banners.
• In Heroes III, Nighon's warlords embraced the philosophy that strength equates to dominance, ruling from subterranean tunnels while harboring dreams of conquering Antagarich.
• In Heroes IV, chaotic sorcerers and thieves made their home in Axeoth's swamps, gathering rogues to stake their claim in the emerging world.
• In parts five through seven, Ashan's dark elves allied with the Dragon-Goddess Malassa and the underworld, crafting a narrative rich with intrigue.
