Marvel Rivalry Battles Bug Fix Announced by Devs

Marvel Rivals Addresses Low FPS Damage Issue Affecting Certain Heroes
Players of Marvel Rivals experiencing reduced damage output at lower FPS settings (particularly 30 FPS) can expect a resolution soon. The development team has confirmed a bug impacting damage calculations for several heroes, including Dr. Strange and Wolverine, at lower frame rates. This issue, affecting attacks such as Wolverine's Feral Leap and Savage Claw, is more apparent against stationary targets.
The root cause appears to be linked to the game's client-side prediction mechanism, a common technique to minimize perceived lag. While a complete list of affected heroes and abilities hasn't been officially released, the developers are actively working on a fix.
Despite the bug, Marvel Rivals, launched in early December 2025, enjoys an impressive 80% player approval rating on Steam (based on over 132,000 reviews). While a precise fix date isn't available, the developers are aiming for a solution by the Season 1 launch on January 11th. If the Season 1 update doesn't fully resolve the problem, a subsequent patch will address the remaining issues. The team's commitment to resolving this indicates a dedication to maintaining the positive player experience.
