MP1st has uncovered intriguing details about a rumored The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake, sourced from the portfolio of an anonymous former Virtuos Studios developer. This isn't insider gossip; it's allegedly from a professional's own work showcase. The project, reportedly built using Unreal Engine 5, promises a significant reimagining of the classic RPG.

This isn't just a graphical update; the anonymous portfolio details extensive mechanical overhauls. Expect revamped stamina management, stealth mechanics, attack blocking (drawing inspiration from Soulslike titles to address the original's perceived shortcomings), archery, damage reactions, and a completely redesigned user interface. The damage system, in particular, will feature noticeable visual feedback from attacks. The overall aim appears to be a more modern and engaging experience.

While initial reports (like those leaked Microsoft documents) suggested a simple remaster, MP1st speculates that the project's scope has expanded into a full-blown remake.
