According to Remedy's latest annual report, the much-anticipated sequel, Control 2, has successfully passed its concept validation stage and is now in full production. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the project, signaling strong progress and commitment to its development. Control 2 is set to be self-published by Remedy, with a budget of 50 million euros, and will be available on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC platforms.

In addition to Control 2, Remedy is actively developing two other exciting projects: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. A year ago, these games were in the preparation phase, but they have now progressed to the next stage of development. FBC: Firebreak, with a budget of 30 million euros, will be accessible through PlayStation and Xbox subscription services at launch, as well as on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The budget details for the Max Payne remakes are not disclosed, but they are confirmed to be AAA-level games, fully funded by Rockstar Games for both development and marketing.

However, not all projects have moved forward. The project Kestrel, which was being developed in collaboration with Tencent, has been canceled and removed from Remedy's development plans since May of last year.

All these projects are being crafted using Remedy's proprietary engine, Northlight, which has demonstrated its capabilities in titles like Alan Wake 2 and other Remedy games. The use of Northlight ensures a high-quality gaming experience across all upcoming titles.
