Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now stream select games directly to their consoles without downloading.

Xbox revealed in a recent Xbox Wire post that Ultimate members can stream titles from the Game Pass library and certain owned games on Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One consoles using cloud gaming.

Previously available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, this feature now debuts on consoles, saving users from lengthy downloads and conserving valuable storage space.

Xbox provided the following steps to access this feature:

From your Xbox console, navigate to My Games & Apps > Full Library > Owned Games.

Additionally, users can stream installed Xbox console games on devices with supported web browsers using a provided link. This feature is no longer supported on the Xbox mobile app but remains accessible via browsers. Xbox is also expanding this capability to Samsung and Amazon Fire smart TVs and Meta Quest headsets.

Xbox also announced that starting this month, backward-compatible Xbox and Xbox 360 games will support remote play.
