WOE is a real-time strategy (RTS) mobile game focused on player-versus-player (PVP) competitive battles.
War of Empire Conquest (WOE) is a real-time strategy mobile game built for PVP competition. One player creates a match, which others then join to battle each other. With full manual control over all units and buildings, players enjoy a high degree of strategic freedom.
Main Elements:
WOE simulates 18 powerful medieval empires or civilizations, including China, Japan, Persia, the Teutons, Mongols, Goths, Maya, and more.
Each empire commands 8 types of standard units and 1 unique unit. The standard units are common to all empires, while the unique unit defines each civilization—such as Mongolian Riders, Persian War Elephants, or Spanish Conquistadors.
The regular units include:
1. Swordsman: A fundamental melee unit.
2. Pikeman: Effective against cavalry but weak against arrows.
3. Archer: Strong against pikemen but vulnerable to cavalry.
4. Light Cavalry: Fast and mobile, ideal for raiding and harassment.
5. Ram: A siege unit dedicated to destroying buildings.
…
Buildings: Tower, Turret, Castle, Blacksmith, and more.
1. Tower: Primarily defensive. When garrisoned with 5 villagers, it can fire 6 arrows simultaneously.
2. Turret: A siege weapon designed to attack structures.
…
Each empire in the game has distinct strengths and weaknesses. Players can explore detailed civilizational profiles in-game. Here is a brief overview:
1. Huns: Do not need to build houses, saving significant time. Their cavalry costs 20% fewer resources and can be upgraded to Rangers.
2. Teutons: Their infantry is exceptionally powerful, reminiscent of historical Spartan warriors, but they move slowly.
…
Highlights:
Core Gameplay: After a match starts, strive to manage these key tasks simultaneously:
1. Develop Economy: Continuously produce villagers to gather resources. (Note: Town Centers, Towers, etc., can serve as temporary shelters for villagers.)
2. Harass Enemies: Early in the game, train a small force to raid enemy villagers and build an advantage.
3. Destroy Enemy Forces.
Effective cooperation with allies is essential. Form legions to defeat larger enemy armies and protect high-damage, low-health allied units.
Players must also master unit counters and teamwork:
Understanding each unit's role is critical. Key counterexamples include:
1. Pikemen counter Cavalry.
2. Cavalry counter Archers.
3. Archers counter Pikemen.
4. Camel Riders counter Cavalry.
5. Koryo War Wagons counter all other ranged units.
…
Game Modes:
Two primary resources exist: Food and Gold. Players advance their Town Center through ages—Dark Age, Feudal Age, Castle Age, and Imperial Age—to unlock new technologies, buildings, and units.
The full game is deep and demands study. For simplicity, four main modes are offered (the most common being Standard and Imperial):
1. Standard Mode: Resources are limited, prioritizing economic development. Early-game raiding with small forces is key. This mode is complex but highly engaging.
2. Imperial Deathmatch: Players start in the Imperial Age with abundant resources, enabling immediate and large-scale battles.
…
