Trails and Ys Localizations Promised to Come Faster
NIS America 加速《轨迹》和《伊苏》系列游戏西方地区的本地化进程
西方玩家将更快玩到Falcom游戏

“我无法具体说明我们在内部为此做了什么，”Costa在接受PCGamer采访时表示。“但我可以说，我们一直在努力确保更快地进行Falcom游戏的本地化，”他提到了将于今年10月和明年初分别发行的《伊苏X：诺迪克》和《轨迹：晨曦II》。
尽管《轨迹：晨曦II》于2022年9月在日本发行，但其计划于2025年初在西方发行的版本已经“大大缩短了……我们过去对《轨迹》游戏的时间表”。
历史上，该系列游戏让西方玩家经历了漫长的等待。例如，《空之轨迹》于2004年在日本发行PC版，直到2011年XSEED Games发行的PSP版本才登陆全球市场。即使是最近的作品，例如《零之轨迹》和《碧之轨迹》，也花了十二年的时间才来到西方。
前XSEED Games本地化经理Jessica Chavez在2011年解释了这些游戏的漫长本地化过程。她在博客文章中谈到《空之轨迹II》时透露，用仅几名翻译人员的团队翻译数百万字的任务是主要瓶颈。鉴于《轨迹》系列游戏文本量巨大，本地化历时数年也就不足为奇了。
虽然这些游戏的本地化仍然需要两到三年时间，但NIS America优先考虑质量而不是速度。正如Costa解释的那样，“我们希望尽快推出游戏，但不能以牺牲本地化质量为代价……找到这种平衡点是我们多年来一直在努力的事情，而且我们正在做得越来越好。”
本地化耗时是可以理解的，尤其是在处理文本量巨大的游戏时。《伊苏VIII：达娜的泪滴》因翻译错误而推迟一年发行，这清楚地提醒了NIS America本地化过程中可能出现的陷阱。然而，从Costa的声明来看，NIS America似乎正在努力在速度和准确性之间取得平衡。
